Ganga Beauty Salon

We set up Ganga Beauty Salon a while back at 155 Hormoz Villa. It’s right there in Basunagar, Madhyamgram, which is pretty close to the Municipality Hospital. We’ve been around this part of Kolkata for a bit now, and people usually just drop by when they are in the area or after they finish their daily work. It’s a small place, nothing too fancy, but we keep it tidy and organized. Sometimes it gets a little busy on the weekends, so there might be a short wait, but mostly it's just regular neighbors coming in for a haircut or some threading. My sister and I mostly run the place ourselves and we handle the usual stuff like facials and hair coloring. We try to keep things simple here. If you're walking past the hospital, you'll see our sign out front. It is not hard to find once you are in Basunagar. We don't really do much advertising because word of mouth has been enough for us so far. Usually, the morning hours are quiet, which is nice if you want to get in and out quickly. We just like making sure everyone who walks out feels a bit better than when they walked in. The chairs are comfortable enough, and we usually have the radio on or just talk with the customers about what’s happening in the neighborhood. It's just a local spot for local people.
