Mahua Beauty Corner

Mahua Beauty Corner is located in Block B of New Barrackpore. We are very close to the Subhas Sangha Club and the railway station, so you can always hear the trains whistling and the announcements from the platform. It is a busy little pocket of Leningarh. Because the station is right there, we get a lot of people who stop in on their way home from work. The shop is small and can get quite loud when the club has an event going on next door. We have posters on the walls that have been there for years and some plants that I try to keep alive near the entrance. It is a simple place where we do basic beauty work for the local women. We have a small curtained area for privacy if someone needs it. The floor is often a bit dusty from all the foot traffic coming from the station side, but we try our best to keep it tidy. My daughter sometimes helps me with the registers or tidying up the bottles after school. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. It is the kind of shop where you can get your work done and hear all the latest news about the neighborhood at the same time. We don't use any fancy machines, just our hands and the basic tools we have had since we started.
