Global Kusum Infotech operates out of 391/461 on Krishana Nagar Road. We are in the Nopara area of Barasat, which has its own unique pace compared to the center of Kolkata. The road outside can get pretty narrow and crowded with rickshaws and people heading to the market. Our building is a bit of a mix of old and new. We are tucked away in a spot that isn’t immediately obvious if you aren't looking for the number. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with different rooms for different tasks. The furniture is a bit mismatched—some newer chairs mixed in with heavy wooden desks that have probably been here for years. We have a small window that gives us a view of the street life below, which is always busy. In the rainy season, the sound of the rain on the roof is so loud you have to raise your voice to be heard. It’s a local operation, and we know most of the people on this stretch of Krishana Nagar Road. We don’t have a big fancy sign or a glass front; it’s just a regular door that stays open most of the day to let some air in. People come in, do their work, chat a bit over tea, and then head out. It is a very grounded, everyday kind of place to be. We’ve been here for quite some time now and the neighborhood feels like home to us.
