Lakshmipuja Annaras Producer Company Limited

Over in Panasi village, specifically the Adhikari Tola area, we started Lakshmipuja Annaras Producer Company Limited. This part of Pothia block is where we live and work every day. Pineapple farming is a big deal for us here, which is why we have Annaras in our name. We're just a group of local people who realized that working separately wasn't doing us many favors. We spend most of our time out in the plots, making sure the plants are okay. It’s humid and the work is tough, but it's our livelihood. We mostly use a small office in the village to meet and discuss the harvest and where we’re going to sell the fruit. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just want to make sure the fruit gets sold for a fair price so we can keep going for another year. There are a lot of families involved in this, and we all know each other's kids and problems. Sometimes the transport is a mess, and sometimes the weather ruins a whole patch of land. We just try to help each other out through the bad patches. It's practical work. We’re not trying to change the world, just trying to make life in Panasi a little more stable for the families who put in the work. It's a humble operation, run by people who have calluses on their hands and know the soil.
