Gram Jagat Farmers Producer Companylimited is based in a small place called Chaitabaran. We are under the Phaga post office in the Banka district. This area of Bihar is where we call home. We started this company because we wanted to have a collective voice for the farmers around here. It is a simple setup in the village. We don't spend money on fancy offices because that wouldn't make sense for us. Instead, we spend our time out in the fields or meeting at the village center. Banka has its own way of doing things and we fit right in. We deal with the daily struggles of farming, like getting water and finding good seeds. There are many of us involved and we all have different roles. Some of us are good at the paperwork and others are better at the physical labor. We try to balance it out. We don't make big promises. We just work hard and hope for a good harvest. Chaitabaran is a quiet spot but we keep things moving. You can usually find one of us near the Phaga area talking to other farmers. It is a community thing more than a corporate thing. We share what we know and we help each other when things get tough. That is just how life goes in our part of the world. No big words are needed to explain that.
