The workshop is over in Mahalakshmipuram Layout, tucked away in the 2nd Stage near West of Chord Road. If you know the area, you know it can get quite crowded with all the small shops and houses packed together. We started Wood Masters because we knew how to handle tools and there was always a need for someone to build a sturdy shelf or a bed frame. Most of the time, our floor is covered in wood shavings and the noise from the saws is pretty constant throughout the day. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Usually, I'm just sitting at a small desk in the corner handling the bills while the guys are busy in the workspace. We get a lot of people from the layout coming in with their own ideas or some drawings they made on a piece of paper. We try to figure out what they want and if it's possible to build it with what we have in stock. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the tools, but other weeks we are working late into the evening to get things finished. The tea stall next door is where we spend our breaks. It’s a simple life here on 2nd Stage. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little spot stays mostly the same, just a bit more cluttered as time goes on and we collect more scraps.
