We’ve been here at No. 236 on the 2nd Main Road in Domlur for a while now. People usually find us when they’re looking for old things that have a bit of a story to them. The shop is filled with a lot of wood and brass pieces. Most days it’s just us moving things around or cleaning off the dust that always seems to settle on the tabletops. Domlur 2nd Stage is a busy area but our corner stays relatively quiet most mornings. We get all sorts of items coming in, some from old houses and others from people who just don't want them anymore. It’s not a huge place, so things tend to get stacked up high. You might have to squeeze past a heavy cupboard just to see a lamp in the corner. We don't really have a fancy display system or anything. It is more about what fits where on the floor. If you walk in, you’ll likely see one of us trying to fix a loose hinge or just rearranging the chairs. We spend a lot of time looking at the small details of these old pieces. Sometimes we find something interesting hidden in a back drawer. The tea stall nearby is where we usually end up in the afternoon. It’s just how things go here. We keep the doors open and wait to see who comes by. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy frames and making sure the glass stays in one piece during a move.
