We are located at 1-B in the Peenya Industrial Area. If you know Bangalore, you know Peenya is a place where things actually get built and designed. It’s not a quiet neighborhood at all. There are trucks constantly moving and the sound of machinery is pretty much everywhere. Indian Design Centre Private Limited operates from a building that’s more about function than style. Inside, we have our desks and computers set up where the design work happens. It’s mostly just a bunch of people looking at screens or talking over some sketches spread out on a table. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to worry about that. We have a small area for tea and coffee where everyone gathers around eleven. The light in the office is okay during the day because of the big windows, but it gets a bit dim in the corners. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number on the gate. It can be quite a long drive to get here depending on the traffic, so we usually arrive early and stay late to avoid the worst of it. The work we do keeps us occupied and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed despite the industrial surroundings. We just get on with the projects and manage the day-to-day office stuff without much fuss.
