We’re located at Royal Corner, right where Langford Road meets Double Road and Mission Road. It’s a hectic junction, and if you’ve ever tried to park around here, you know it’s a bit of a nightmare. Navketan Furniture Systems has been in this spot for a while now. We deal with all sorts of desks and chairs, mostly the kind of stuff you’d see in an office. The showroom gets a bit cramped because we try to fit as many samples as we can. It’s mostly just us moving heavy pieces around and making sure things aren't wobbly. We get a lot of people walking in just because they’re stuck in traffic and see the sign. It’s not a quiet job, there’s always the sound of someone assembling something or a truck unloading in the back. We have a few guys who handle the heavy lifting. We don’t do much of the fancy design talk; we just show people what we have and tell them if it’ll fit in their space. Sometimes the deliveries are a headache with the city traffic being what it is, but we manage. It’s a family-run feel even though the name sounds a bit more official. We just want to make sure the furniture we sell actually works for people’s homes or offices without making it too complicated for them. We enjoy the coffee at the stall nearby too.
