Manuelsons is tucked away over here at 427/80 Ft. Road in Koramangala. If you know the 6th Block, you know how the traffic gets during the evenings. The shop isn’t anything fancy to look at from the outside, just a place where wood gets turned into different things. There is usually a layer of fine dust on most of the surfaces because of the sanding. We spend a lot of time just moving pieces of timber around to make space. It’s mostly Manuelsons Century Wood Crafts work happening inside the shed. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise of the saws, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with wood all day. The tea shop around the corner is where most of us head when the power goes out, which happens more than we'd like. The 80 Feet Road has changed a lot over the years, with all these new cafes and glass buildings coming up, but we’re still here doing the same things. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy planks and measuring twice just to be sure. The smell of cedar and polish is always hanging in the air. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in through the main door and find us in the back. It’s a simple setup, really. Just a bunch of tools, wood, and a bit of a mess. Most days are long and tiring, but that's just the reality of running a wood craft shop in the middle of a busy city like this.
