Wood India

Our workshop is located at 455, 12th Cross, 4 Phase Peenya Industrial Area. Wood India is right in the middle of all the noise and dust of Peenya. If you walk inside, the first thing you notice is the smell of wood and the sound of the machines running. It’s not a quiet place at all. We have been in this building for many years. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is covered in sawdust most of the time. We have a small crew of guys who are really good with their hands. They don’t say much, they just get on with the cutting and the sanding. The metal roof makes it very loud when it rains, and very hot when the sun is out. We have a small corner with a table where we take our lunch breaks. Usually, someone brings a tiffin and we all share. The 12th Cross is always crowded with trucks, so getting our materials delivered is sometimes a struggle. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. If you want to see what we do, you have to come into the workshop and see the stacks of lumber we have. It’s a very practical setup. We just focus on the work that comes in and try to finish it on time. It is hard work, but it is what we know how to do.
