Tungabhadra Traders

Down in Hiriyur, in the Chitradurga district, is where we do our trading at Tungabhadra Traders. We are on Huliyar Road, specifically in the Gaadi Basanna Layout, Second Cross. Nanjundappa G. H. is usually around the place if you need to talk to someone. It’s a local business, through and through. We handle various goods and trade with people from all over the town and the surrounding rural areas. The layout is a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but it’s home for us. We’ve got a permanent address here because we aren't planning on going anywhere else. Trading is a lot of talking to people, checking stocks, and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s not a desk job in the way people in the city think of it. We are on our feet quite a bit, moving things around and checking ledgers. The building is simple, just enough room for the paperwork and some basic storage. People stop by to chat or see what’s available. We don't have any fancy website or social media stuff to show off. Word of mouth works best for us in a town like Hiriyur. It's honest work and we take it one day at a time without worrying about the big city rush. Sometimes things are slow, and we just sit on the bench outside and watch the traffic go by on the main road. Then other days it's a rush from morning till night with farmers and transporters coming through.
