Om Parkash Fath Chand Ltd.

Our office is tucked away in Chickbaallapur. It’s a place that has changed quite a bit since we first started Om Parkash Fath Chand Ltd. We aren't in one of those new industrial zones; we’re just in a regular part of town where everyone knows each other. The mornings usually start with the sound of the local market waking up nearby. We spend a lot of our time dealing with local stuff, talking to people who walk in or calling up folks we've known for years. The building we are in has thick walls, which is good when the sun is beating down outside. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of files and old wooden desks that have seen better days, but they serve their purpose well enough. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating. Most of the walls just have calendars or notes pinned up with tape. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit and talk until the fans start spinning again. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always operated here. Chickbaallapur is growing fast, but our little corner feels pretty much the same as it did ten or fifteen years ago. We handle our accounts, check the stock levels, and make sure the deliveries are going where they should. It’s a lot of routine work, but we find it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We just lock up when we are done and head home.
