Cauvery Traders

You can find us at 30 Vijaya Nagar in the Marenahalli neighborhood. We are situated right near the ICICI ATM, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone new. We are traders, so our stock is always changing based on what we can get our hands on. The shop is quite small, so we have to stack boxes nearly to the ceiling. You really have to watch your step when you are walking between the stacks. Most of my day is spent on the phone talking to different suppliers or checking what we have left in the inventory. We do not have any fancy displays or expensive signage outside. It is just a regular shop with some old paint on the walls. We open the doors early and stay until it gets dark outside. The area near the ATM gets a lot of foot traffic, so we see a lot of different people passing by every hour. We have been here for a long time, and we have kept the same way of doing things. We keep a simple paper ledger on the desk to track what goes out and what comes in. Sometimes we lose the pens or the ledger gets a bit dusty, but we keep it updated. It is a quiet life of buying and selling goods for the local community. We just try to keep things moving and stay organized.
