Timberlane

Our place is at No.450 in Jayanagar, specifically on 15th Cross in the 2nd Block. We are right next to the path that leads to the petrol pump on Madhavan road, so it’s easy to find if you are looking for it. Jayanagar is a nice area with lots of trees, though the traffic has become a bit of a headache lately. At Timberlane, we mostly focus on whatever the local residents need for their homes. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack the materials so we still have room to move around. We’ve had the same few workers for a long time now and we all know how the others work. We don't use any high-tech machines, just the standard stuff that gets the job done. It’s a quiet kind of business for the most part, except when we are running the planer. We see a lot of the same faces coming back over the years, which is nice. Sometimes someone will bring in an old chair that’s been in their family for thirty years and ask if we can make it sturdy again. We don't make any big promises, we just take a look and see what can be done. It’s a steady way to spend the day, working with our hands and seeing something being built from scratch right there in the middle of Jayanagar. It gets the job done.
