We set up shop at No 26 in the Red Cross Bhavan. It’s right on Race Course Road, which is a pretty well-known spot. We’re Teknion Furniture System I Pvt Ltd, and we basically deal with everything that goes into an office. Desks, chairs, partitions, you name it. It’s funny because our own office is a bit of a mix of different styles. We use what we have. It’s not a polished showroom like the ones you see in magazines. We’ve got catalogs piled up and samples of fabric everywhere. People come to us when they’re moving into a new space or if their old chairs are finally breaking down. We don't do much talking about visions or anything like that. We just figure out how many desks can fit in a room without people bumping into each other. Race Course Road is usually busy, so there's always noise from the street. The building itself is okay, nothing special, but it’s been our home for a while. We know the security guys and the people in the other offices. It's a decent place to work. We try to be helpful when people call with questions, even if we don't always have the answer right away. We just do our best to get the furniture where it needs to go on time. It's a straightforward business and we like keeping it that way most days.
