Stumbha Recyclers

Stumbha Recyclers is at 5, Sitladevi Industrial Estate, located at 140 S.T. Road in Mahim. Our yard is usually full of stuff that other people didn't want anymore. We take in all kinds of scrap and old materials to see what can be used again. It is a messy business, and no matter how much we organize, it always looks a bit cluttered. We spend our days sorting through piles of metal, plastic, and other things. It can be hard work, especially when we have to move heavy items around in the sun. We aren't doing this to be famous; we just like the idea of things not going to waste. Mahim is a very crowded area, and getting trucks in and out of the estate on S.T. Road can be a real challenge sometimes. We have a small scale for weighing the scrap and a little shack where we keep our records. Most of our day is spent outside. We know the local scrap dealers and the people who come by to drop off their old junk. It is a simple operation. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to process the material we get and keep the business running. Some days are slow and others are completely packed with deliveries. We just take it as it comes. It is a practical life, and it keeps us on our feet from morning until the sun goes down.
