Space Furniture

Space Furniture is located at 61 M.M. Road, right in the heart of Frazer Town. We are on the lower ground floor, so you have to step down a few stairs to get to us. We are directly opposite the Haji Sir Ismail Sait Mosque, which is a big landmark in this part of Bangalore. Being downstairs keeps the place a bit cooler during the afternoon heat. We have all sorts of furniture crammed into the space—chairs, tables, and some cupboards too. It is a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a new delivery and have to find room for everything. Frazer Town is a lively area, especially in the evenings when the food stalls start up, but we are usually winding down our day by then. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out something that will actually fit in their flats. Since we are in a basement-level spot, we don't get much natural light, so we have plenty of bulbs to show off the wood grain. We aren't a big chain store; it is just us here, moving things around and making sure the pieces are sturdy before they go out. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in the M.M. Road traffic, and we have to wait out on the pavement to help them unload. It is just part of the daily routine here. We have been in this spot long enough that the neighbors all know us.
