South India Chemicals

South India Chemicals is located at 26/1 Cottonpet on Nalband Lane. This is a very old and crowded part of the city. The lanes are so narrow that two people can barely walk side by side in some spots. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is a bit dark and smells quite strongly of the chemicals we sell. We have bags and containers stacked up on every wall. There isn't much room to move around, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We know the regular customers who come in for their supplies, and we usually chat for a bit about the weather or the local news. It is a very hands-on job. We are always lifting heavy bags or measuring out liquids. We don't have a fancy computer system to track our stock; we just check the shelves ourselves. The heat in the summer can be quite bad since the lane doesn't get much breeze, but we just keep the fans going. We don't have a big sign out front, just an old board that has been there since we started. It is a simple, old-fashioned way of doing business. We don't try to be anything other than a local chemical shop. It is what we know and what we do every single day.
