Solventcement

Solventcement is located over at Old No: 30 on Thambu Chetty Street. It is an old building, which you can probably guess from the address itself. This street is almost always crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to move their goods around. We have been operating out of this specific spot for many years now. The walls could definitely use a fresh coat of paint, but we just haven't found the time to get around to it yet. Everything inside the shop has its own place, even if it looks a little bit messy to someone walking in for the first time. We just deal with what we have and make it work for us. Most of our days are spent checking the stock and talking to the folks who stop by with questions. It is not a high-tech office with fancy computers. We have a few old wooden desks and a lot of metal shelving. Thambu Chetty Street has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that local story now. Sometimes the heat gets to be a bit much in the peak of summer because the ventilation is not perfect, but we keep the old ceiling fans going. We do not have a fancy lobby or a person sitting at a front desk. If you walk in, you will just see us working at our tables. We try to get things right.
