Shakuntala Graphice

We are based in the Unique Industrial Estate at unit 107, just off V.S. Marg in Prabhadevi. It is an old building, like a lot of the industrial estates in this part of Mumbai, so the lift is a bit temperamental sometimes. We do graphice and printing work here. The space is filled with the smell of ink and the constant humming of the machines. Stacks of paper are everywhere you look, and we are always trying to find more room to put things. It is a busy little spot, especially when we have a big deadline coming up. We have been in Prabhadevi for years, so we know the local chai wallah and the best places to grab a quick snack when we are working late. Our desks are usually covered in proofs and sketches. It is not a polished design studio with white walls and expensive furniture. It is a working shop where we get our hands dirty. We have had the same old clock on the wall since we started, and it still runs five minutes slow. We don't mind the clutter because it means we are working. People stop by to check on their prints, and we usually have a chat while the machines are running. It is just a normal, everyday business trying to do a good job. We just keep at it and hope the power stays on.
