Sgre Labels (P) Ltd.

Sgre Labels is out here on Magadi Main Road, near Gollarahatii. It's a bit of a drive from the city center, but the space works for us. We have these big printing machines that take up most of the room. We make all sorts of labels. The smell of ink is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a busy environment. We spend a lot of time checking the colors and the alignment on the rolls. Sometimes the machines act up, and we have to spend half the morning fixing a paper jam. That’s just part of the job. Being in Vishwaneedam, we have enough space to store the big paper rolls. The trucks come and go daily. We’ve been at this address, 196/1, for a long time. It’s not a glamorous business, but labels are needed for everything. We see a lot of different designs come through. Some are simple, others are quite bright. We just focus on getting the prints clear. Most of the staff live nearby, so it feels like a local crew. We have tea together in the afternoons. It’s a steady pace. We aren't looking to change much, just keep the machines running and the labels going out. The road outside gets dusty in the summer, and we have to keep the windows shut to protect the paper. We've got an old radio that stays on in the background, mostly playing local stations. It keeps the energy up while we work the long shifts.
