Segment Book Distributors

Our place is at B-23/25 in Kailash Colony. It’s actually a pretty nice neighborhood, but our building is mostly just full of books. Segment Book Distributors is what it says on the door, and that’s exactly what we do. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of paper and ink. It’s everywhere. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a ladder just to find a specific title. It’s a bit of a labyrinth in here. We spend a lot of time packing boxes and checking invoices. The desks are always covered in catalogs and shipping labels. It’s not the most modern office, but it’s comfortable in its own way. We have a small area where we have our lunch, and there’s always a stack of books nearby that someone is flipping through. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big shipment arrives and we have to find space for hundreds of new boxes. We just move things around until it fits. The staff here actually likes books, so we end up talking about what we’re reading during our breaks. It’s a bit dusty, and the lights could be brighter, but it’s a good place to work if you don’t mind a bit of heavy lifting now and then. We stay pretty busy with the local schools and shops.
