Being over here at Farah Point in Wilson Garden means we’re right in the middle of everything. If you know Hosur Road, you know how it gets, especially near the 2nd Cross. Our office is on the first floor, at No. 179/12-01. It’s a busy place with people constantly coming and going. Schindler India Pvt. Ltd. handles a lot of the lifts and moving walkways you see around the city. Our technicians are usually out in the field most of the day, so the office can feel a bit empty in the afternoons until they come back to drop off their reports. We have a small pantry where the coffee is okay, but most of us go to the corner shop for tea. The building itself is alright, nothing too special, just a standard commercial block. We’ve got some desks and a lot of manuals stacked up. You can hear the traffic from the road all day long, which just becomes background noise after a week of working here. It’s a practical setup. We don’t go for big decorations or anything. Most of the space is just for planning the next maintenance run or figuring out where the parts need to go. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes when a lift goes down somewhere important, but that’s just the nature of the job. We just focus on keeping things moving and making sure the schedule is met.
