Our shop is over near the Dairy Farm in Medikeri, right at Giri Nivas. It is a quiet enough spot but we get people coming in looking for stuff for their homes. We have been doing furniture for a while now. Mostly it is just wooden pieces like chairs and cupboards that people need for their daily lives. It gets a bit dusty with all the wood around but that is just part of the job. We spend most of our time out back or showing people what we have in stock. Medikeri is a nice place to have a business because everyone kind of knows each other. When someone needs a new bed or a table they usually just walk in and ask what we can do. We don't have a huge showroom but we fit what we can inside Giri Nivas. Sometimes we are busy fixing things up and other times it is just waiting for the next person to come by. The rain can be a bit much here sometimes which makes moving furniture around a bit of a pain. We just try to keep the wood dry and ensure the pieces work for the folks who buy them. It is a simple business really. No fancy stuff. Just making sure people have a place to sit and eat. We like being near the farm because it feels like a real neighborhood.
