Our office is on the second floor of the Hitanda building, right on Lavelle Road. It’s a central spot, though the traffic out there can be a nightmare during peak hours. Being at No.48 means we are close to a lot of things, which helps when we have to run errands or meet someone. We handle export stuff, so there is always a lot of paperwork on the desks and phones ringing at odd times because of the different time zones. It’s mostly computer work and making sure containers are moving where they are supposed to. Sometimes it feels like we are just chasing emails all day. The office isn't huge, but it fits the team we have. We’ve got some files stacked up in the corner that probably need sorting, but we never quite get to it because something else always comes up. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor if the lift is acting up, which happens now and then. We grab lunch from the local spots nearby. It’s a busy environment, but we’ve got a good routine going. We don’t really do anything flashy, just the day-to-day grind of moving goods across borders. It takes a lot of coordination and patience to deal with all the regulations and shipping schedules, but that’s just the nature of the export business we’re in here. It is just about getting the boxes from one point to another without too much trouble.
