You can find our office in the 2nd Block of Jayanagar, situated right above the Servicare building. It is a nice enough spot in a part of town that still has some old trees and a bit of a traditional feel. At Ikian, we deal with furniture for both homes and offices. We have been in this Jayanagar location for a good while now. The stairs leading up to our place are a bit steep, so we always tell people to watch their step. Once you are inside, we have plenty of different pieces on display to look at. We are not like one of those massive furniture malls you find on the outskirts of the city. It is much more personal here. We have a small staff and most of us have been here for years, so we know the inventory very well. Some days we are just sitting at our desks talking about new designs, and other days we are sweating while moving heavy cupboards across the showroom floor. We do not really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our customers find us just by walking past on the street or hearing about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We like the pace of the 2nd Block because it is not as frantic as the main roads. We spend time making sure the displays look okay, even if they get a bit cluttered with fabric samples and new catalogs sometimes.
