Our place is at No. 64 in Maruthi Plaza, right near the National College on Dr DVG Road. Basavanagudi is a nice old area and we really like being based here. We do both furniture sales and some interior work for houses. The shop is usually full of wood samples, old catalogs, and actual furniture pieces we have for sale right now. It’s a bit messy at times because we are always working on something or talking to a carpenter about a project. We aren’t a sleek designer studio with fancy coffee. We’re more of a practical shop where things actually get made and done. People come in from the college or the local market nearby all the time. We talk to them about what they need for their houses. Sometimes it's a simple shelf for books, and other times it's a whole kitchen layout they are thinking about. We just tell them what’s possible and what isn't based on our experience. DVG Road is always crowded and noisy with people shopping, but inside the shop, we just focus on the work at hand. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know us by our names. We don't bother with fancy marketing or social media much. We just open the shop every morning, do our work, and help whoever comes through the door. It’s a simple way to run a business and it works for us.
