Featherlite Products Pvt Ltd is out at Unit III on Survey No. 18. It is a fairly large site because we handle a lot of office furniture. Most of what happens here is assembly and getting orders ready to ship out. We spend our mornings unloading trucks and our afternoons loading them back up. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving boxes. The warehouse can get pretty hot in the summer, but we have our routine down. We aren't really set up for people to come and browse like a retail store. It’s more of a functional space for getting work done. We have rows and rows of chair parts and desk frames. We spend a lot of time checking that everything is included in the boxes before they go out. Mistakes happen sometimes, but we try to fix them as soon as we notice. We’ve been at this Survey No. location for a long time. The surrounding area has grown up around us. We don't have a lot of time for fancy meetings; we just focus on the orders for the day. It’s a lot of repetitive work, like bolting legs onto desks or checking the fabric on office chairs. We just stay busy and keep the floor moving. It’s a basic operation that works for us, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
