We are based in the HAL Estate area, right on Airport Lane. This part of the city has a very distinct feeling because of all the aviation history nearby. Our company, Ba E Hal Software, has been in this location for a long time. Being close to the old airport means it is generally quieter than the busy hubs in the center of town. The building is an older style with high ceilings and thick walls, giving it a very solid and stable feel. We work on software for various industries and have a pretty established routine here. The lane outside isn't very wide, so it can get a bit blocked up when delivery trucks are trying to get through. Inside, we have large rooms instead of tiny cubicles, which is a nice change from newer offices. There is a small area where we have our tea and snacks in the afternoon. Most of the people working here have been with the company for years and live in the surrounding area. We don't do a lot of shouting about what we do; we just handle our software contracts and keep things running. Sometimes you can hear the sound of engines from the nearby facilities, reminding us of the local industry. It is a practical workspace with no fancy extras. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families.
