Avon Data Cables P.Ltd is located at 74/C in Electronics City, right off Hosur Road. The commute out here can be a real pain depending on the time of day, but once you’re inside Electronics City, it’s a bit more organized. Our place is basically a big warehouse and office mix. There are reels of cable everywhere you look. We spend most of the day dealing with measurements and checking the wires. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. You won't find many people in suits here; it's mostly work shirts and boots. The floor can be pretty noisy when the machines are running, so we’ve learned to talk a bit louder. We don't really do much in the way of fancy marketing or anything. We just make the cables and get them ready for shipping. It’s been our routine for a long time now. The canteen nearby is where we usually end up for a break, and we talk about anything but work most of the time. We have a small team, and everyone knows what they need to do when they walk in at 8:30 in the morning. It’s a bit dusty and there’s always a box that needs moving, but it’s a decent place to spend the day. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and getting the orders out on the trucks.
