Anjaneya Brick Works

We’ve been running Anjaneya Brick Works out of Domlur Layout for quite some time now. Our spot is located at number 668 on 1st D Main Road. It’s not a very complicated business; we deal in bricks for all the building projects going on around this neighborhood. You’ll mostly see tall stacks of red bricks piled up waiting to be moved to a site. It’s a bit cramped sometimes on this road, especially when the big lorries come in to unload a fresh batch. We spend our time counting stock and making sure the loads are ready for the early morning deliveries. Bricks are heavy and dirty things, so the yard always has that earthy smell to it. People from the neighborhood often drop by when they are fixing up a garden wall or adding a small room to their house. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just a small desk and a lot of outdoor space for the materials. Some days the weather makes it pretty tough to work, but we manage to keep things moving along regardless. Domlur has changed quite a bit since we first started, but we are still here doing the same thing. It’s hard work on the back, and our hands are always rough. We just focus on having enough bricks ready when a local builder calls us up. There’s no magic to it, just keeping track of the numbers and making sure everything is solid for a wall.
