Our place is at number 48 on Bowring Hospital Road in Shivaji Nagar. We are part of the S&C Complex. It’s a very busy area with a lot of people heading toward the hospital or the markets nearby. The traffic can be quite loud, especially in the afternoons. We have been here for a long time. People in the neighborhood know us by name. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, mostly items for the home. It’s not very modern inside, but we like it that way. The shelves are high and sometimes you need a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. We spend our day talking to locals who stop by. Some just come in to say hello while they are out doing their errands. It’s a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot into the space we have. There’s always someone drinking tea near the front desk. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop on the street. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We know which floorboards creak and where the light switches are hidden behind the display racks. It’s just how it is. If you’re walking near the hospital, you’ll probably see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun but it’s still there after all these years. It's just a normal shop in a busy part of the city and we are here most days.
