A C Francis & Sons

A C Francis & Sons has been operating out of No. 34 in the 2nd Stage of Avalahalli for a long time. We are right in the New Timberyard Layout, just off Mysore Road. As you can imagine from the name of the area, it’s a place that knows a lot about wood. Our family has been in this business for generations. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s a sturdy building where we keep our stock and do our work. There’s a constant smell of fresh timber in the air, which I’ve grown to love. We mostly deal with people who are building or renovating their homes nearby. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of heavy vehicles moving through because of the timber yards. Our space is usually filled with planks and finished pieces waiting to be picked up. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most people just come to the back to see what we have. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. My sons are involved in the daily running of things now, so it’s a real family effort. We handle the paperwork on an old wooden desk that’s been here since the start. We don't spend money on fancy ads because the people around Mysore Road know where to find us. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually rough from the wood, but it’s what we know best.
