Suzlon Structures Ltd.

We are located out in Radka, which is a small village in the Tharad taluka. It’s quite a way out in the Palanpur district of Gujarat. Being at the post office area means everyone in the village knows where we are. It’s a very different vibe from the big cities. Most of us at Suzlon Structures Ltd. are used to the quiet life here. You see more tractors than cars some days on the road. Our office is a simple building that fits right in with the rest of the village. We handle the structural work from here, even if we are far from the main hubs. The air is cleaner out here, though it gets very dusty when the wind picks up across the fields. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the heat becomes difficult. There’s a lot of coordination involved in what we do, so we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking our papers. We don’t have any fancy signs or big glass windows. It’s just a practical place where we can sit down and do our jobs. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just take a break and sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is just the way things are in this part of the state. We’ve grown fond of the slow pace and the friendly people in Radka. We have our routine and it works for us day after day without any big fuss.
