Adarsa Chasi Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our setup is based in Banjipadar, which is in the Titilagarh area of Balangir. If you know anything about Balangir, you know that Titilagarh is one of the hottest places you can find in Orissa. The heat during the summer months is no joke, and it really dictates when we can work and when we have to stay indoors. We are a farmer producer company, and our main goal is just to keep things moving for the local chasi, or farmers, in this dry region. We spend a lot of time in the office at Banjipadar trying to figure out water issues and how to protect the crops from the sun. It’s a small, dusty office but it gets the job done. We don't have any fancy equipment, just some benches and a lot of paperwork that needs filling out. The people who come here are all locals who have been farming this land for generations. We talk about the price of grain and the lack of rain more than anything else. It’s a tough life in Titilagarh, but being part of Adarsa Chasi gives us a bit of a way to stand together. We aren't looking to grow into a massive company; we just want to make sure the farmers in our little corner of Balangir get a fair shake. It’s just us, some old fans to keep the heat away, and a lot of hard work.
