Mishri Lal Arya Kanya Inter College

Mishri Lal Arya Kanya Inter College is situated in Tanda, Ambedkar Nagar. This is a place specifically for girls to come and finish their schooling. The building is quite old and has that classic look you see in a lot of colleges in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Tanda is a busy town, but once you get inside the gates of the college, it feels a bit more structured. We have long corridors that stay cool even when it's hot outside, and the classrooms are quite large to fit all the students. There are always groups of girls sitting on the steps or in the small garden area during their free periods. The furniture is all made of heavy wood, and it’s been there for decades. We have a small library that’s a bit cramped, but it has all the textbooks the girls need. The staff spends a lot of time sitting in the common room, drinking tea and discussing the upcoming exams or the government paperwork that never seems to end. We don’t have much in the way of modern technology, maybe a couple of computers in a small room, but mostly it's just books and notebooks. It’s an important place for the families around Tanda because it gives the girls a space just for them to learn. It’s not a polished or shiny campus, just a hardworking institution that’s been part of the community for a long time.
