Commerce Rocks Academy

Most days here in Faizabad start pretty early. We open up Commerce Rocks Academy and get the chairs sorted out before the students start showing up. It is mostly just about getting through the syllabus and making sure everyone understands the accounting basics or whatever we are covering that morning. The room gets a bit loud sometimes when everyone is talking at once, but that is just how it goes. We have been in this spot for a while now. It is not a huge place, just enough space for the benches and the whiteboard. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to keep talking or use the sunlight from the door. It is a lot of routine work, checking notebooks and explaining the same math problems again. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some old charts and a clock that is usually a few minutes fast. People from the neighborhood know where we are. We just try to help the kids pass their exams so they can move on to whatever they want to do next. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going as much as we can. There is always a lot of tea being drank during the breaks. We just keep doing our bit here in town, day after day, and that is pretty much the whole story of this place.
