Shivkrupa Hardware

The shop, Shivkrupa Hardware, is tucked away in Taluk Partur. We are located near the State Bank of India in District Basmath, which is a busy little spot. Most people who come in are looking for a specific size of nail or a tool they lost in the middle of a job. We keep a lot of things on the shelves, maybe too many things because sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer needs. We handle the Post Office Hingoli mail too, so it’s a bit of a hub for people in the area. It gets crowded on market days when everyone from the surrounding villages comes into town. We sell mostly basic stuff like hammers, pipes, and some paints. It’s not a big showroom, just a regular hardware store where the floor is usually a bit dusty from the cement bags. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s nice to chat with the regulars about how their building work is going. Sometimes we don't have exactly what someone wants, but we usually have something that will work just as well. The heat in the afternoon can be a lot, but we keep the fans going. It’s a steady life, keeping the shelves stocked and helping people fix things around their homes or farms. We just try to stay open when people need us.
