Keshardeep Pressings

Working in the Waluj MIDC area means you get used to the constant sound of metal and machines pretty quickly. Keshardeep Pressings is located at D-12. It’s an industrial spot, so it isn't exactly a pretty place to look at. There’s a lot of grease and the smell of hot metal most days of the week. We do pressings here, which is loud and repetitive work for the most part. The floor is made of concrete and stays very cold in the winter months. We have a few big machines that take up most of the space on the shop floor. It’s just a regular factory shed, really. Nothing special to look at from the outside road. We get our shipments in and then we spend the whole day working through the piles of material. It gets incredibly dusty and hot in the summer, but we have some old fans going to keep the air moving. The guys work hard, and we usually take our breaks together near the main door just to get some fresh air. Waluj is full of places like ours, all squeezed together in the MIDC blocks. You see the same faces every day at the small tea stall around the corner. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby for visitors. Just the workshop and a small cluttered area for the files. It’s a practical place for practical work. Some days the machines act up and we spend hours fixing them.
