We’re located at K-90 in MIDC Waluj. Amap Press & Tools Private Limited is basically a big shed full of heavy machinery and people trying to get things done. Being in MIDC means there are always trucks backing up and the sound of other factories in the distance. Our main thing is the presses and the tools. When those big presses are running, you can feel the floor vibrate a little bit. It’s a weird feeling at first, but you stop noticing it after an hour. We aren't a corporate outfit with shiny floors and name tags. Most of us wear old clothes that we don't mind getting oil on. We spend a lot of time checking the dies and making sure the press hits just right. If it’s off, the whole batch is ruined, so we’re pretty careful about that part. The break room is just a couple of chairs and a kettle, which is all we really need. We talk about the local news or whatever is happening in Waluj while we have our tea. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the orders pile up and we have to put in extra hours. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a schedule of what needs to be finished by Friday. It’s just how we operate here at K-90, doing the pressing and tool work without any extra fluff.
