Gurukul Pre Primary School

If you head down Paithan Road in Aurangabad, you will find our little school. It is a pre-primary setup, so we mostly deal with the very small kids who are just getting used to being away from their parents for a few hours. The morning time is always the loudest because everyone is arriving at once and the kids are full of energy. We have been in the Aurangabad Ho area for some time now, and most of the families around here know who we are. It is not a complicated place. We have classrooms with small chairs and tables, and there are plenty of toys and books scattered around. We spend the day teaching them the alphabet and numbers, but a lot of it is just letting them play and learn how to get along with each other. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic, but that is just what happens when you have a bunch of three and four-year-olds in one building. We do not try to act like a big corporate institution. We are just local people looking after the local children. The weather here in Maharashtra can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep the kids inside and cool until their parents come back to pick them up. It is a basic, honest routine that we follow every single day of the week, and it seems to work well for the neighborhood. It is just a simple school for the little ones.
