Food Talkies

Plot No 528 in the Cidco Colony has been our home for a bit. We’re right across from Chate School, so we get a lot of students and parents hanging around. Aurangabad can get pretty hot, so we try to keep the place comfortable for whoever walks in. Food Talkies is just a name we liked, it doesn’t mean we’re movie stars or anything. We just focus on the cooking. N 3 Cidco is a busy little area, and being near the school keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the morning rush is a lot to handle, but we’ve gotten used to the pace over the years. We aren't trying to be a five-star place. We’re just a local spot where you can grab something to eat. Most of the people who come in live right here in the colony. We know which neighbors like their food extra spicy and who prefers it mild. It’s funny how you get to know a community just by what they eat. The building is simple, nothing too modern, but it works for us. We spend most of our day in the back getting ingredients ready. It’s hard work, and some days are longer than others, especially when the weather is bad or the market is short on supplies. We just keep at it because this is what we do. It’s a living and we’re glad to be here.
