Gavkari Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company is called Gavkari Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based out of Ashok Nagar, at the home of Shri Ashok Ganpatrao Jawadar. He is the one who helped to pull everyone together into this group. The name Gavkari really fits us because we are all just village people working together. We do not have any fancy offices or corporate rules to follow. Most of our meetings happen sitting on the porch or in the yard at Ashok’s place. It is a very informal way of doing things, but it works for us. We spend our days dealing with the crops and making sure the farmers in our group are getting what they need. Ashok Nagar is a quiet enough place, but there is always something going on with the farm cycles. We are not trying to be some huge international business. We just want to make sure we can sustain our families and keep the farms going for the next generation. It is hard work and there are plenty of days when things do not go right, like when the equipment breaks down or the rain does not come when we need it. But we just talk it through and find a way to fix it. There is no big boss telling us what to do, just a group of us trying to make the most of what we have.
