The India Cements Ltd

Over at No : 2, Dalavoi Works, things are always on the move. We are located in T S N Nagar, which is part of the Sendurai Taluk area. It’s a big site, and there is a lot of heavy machinery running most of the time. The India Cements Ltd is a place where you can feel the ground shake a little when the big stuff is working. We wear our work clothes and get ready for a long shift every day. Sendurai Taluk is a bit out of the way, so it’s mostly just us and the other workers around here. It gets very hot near the kilns and the production lines. We drink a lot of water and try to find a breeze when we can. The Dalavoi Works has its own rhythm. You get used to the sounds of the trucks coming and going at all hours. T S N Nagar is where a lot of the activity happens. We don't have time for fancy talk or anything like that. We just focus on the cement. Every bag that leaves here represents a lot of sweat and hard work from the crew. It’s a tough environment, but it’s what we know. We walk through the dust and the heat because that’s the job. At the end of the day, we’re tired and covered in grey powder, but we come back the next morning to do it all over again at No : 2.
