Seemanchal Atulya Makhana Fed Producer Company Limited is a group of us working together here in the Jalalgarh block. Our main spot is at Sanjay Kumar Jha’s place in Vill-Dihia. Specifically, we are located in Tola-Dihia Panch Sarsauni. Most people around here know the area pretty well. We handle makhana because that is what grows best in this part of the country. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a regular setup where we get things done. Sanjay helps keep everything organized for the group. We spend most of our time dealing with the harvest and making sure the makhana is ready for the market. The weather around Jalalgarh can be a bit much sometimes, especially in the heat, but we are used to it by now. We started this because we wanted a way to work for ourselves and our families. It is a lot of manual work every single day. You can find us right there in the village if you are passing through. We do not have a big sign or anything, just the name on the papers and some bags lying around. Being in a small place like Dihia means everyone knows everyone anyway. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the crop we know. It is what we have been doing for years. There are quite a few of us involved in this producer company now. We are just local people trying to make a living from the land.
