Our office is on the ground floor of a building in Bayya Reddy Colony. It’s part of the C/O for Mr. Keshava at 9-5. We are right here in Madanapalle, which is a big hub in Chittoor district. People around here know us for being a farmers producer company. Madanapalle is famous for its tomatoes, and many of our members grow them. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather because it changes so much in these hills. The office is a simple place where farmers come to sit for a while and discuss their crops. We don't have fancy furniture or a big reception desk. It’s just a room with some chairs and a table where we keep the books. We started Maryadaramanna Patnam because we wanted to have a collective voice. It’s a lot of work to keep track of everyone’s harvests and the different seasons. Sometimes we have meetings that go on for hours because everyone has something to say. It’s a local effort, run by people who actually live here. We don't use corporate language because that’s not who we are. We are just neighbors working together. Chittoor is a tough place to farm sometimes, with the water issues and the market swings. We just try to help each other out and make sure the farming stays sustainable for the next generation. Living in Madanapalle means you are used to a lot of trucks moving tomatoes every single day. We are just part of that flow.
