Irala Puthalapattu Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers from the Irala and Puthalapattu areas here in Chittoor. Most of us have been working these fields since we were kids, just like our fathers did before us. We set up this company at No. 9-3 in B Ramapuram, Baitapalle, because we needed a way to handle our business together instead of everyone trying to do it on their own. It’s not a big fancy office or anything, just a place where we meet and talk about the crops. Sometimes the weather is good, sometimes it isn't, but that’s just how life is here. We deal with whatever grows well in this part of Andhra Pradesh. It’s hard work being out in the sun all day, but when you have a group like this, it feels a bit easier to manage the costs and the selling. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing polished speeches for us. We just know how to farm. Our address is easy to find if you are coming through Baitapalle. People in the village know us by name, and we mostly just focus on getting the harvest ready each season. We use the tools we have and try to keep things moving forward for the families involved. It’s a simple setup, really. We are just neighbors trying to make sure our farms stay productive and that we can get a fair shake when it's time to sell what we grow. It takes a lot of patience.
