Our place is at D.52/7 in the Additional MIDC area which is a bit of a drive out but it’s where all the heavy work happens. Being in the steel and alloy business means we need a lot of space for the raw materials and the finished products so this location works well for us. The ground is mostly hard dirt and gravel and there are always stacks of metal waiting to be moved or processed. It isn't the cleanest environment because of the soot and the metal shavings but that’s the nature of the industry we are in. We have a small cabin that serves as the office where we handle the bills and the phone calls but most of our time is spent out on the floor or near the loading bay. The heat coming off the metal can be pretty intense during the summer and we go through a lot of water every day just to stay hydrated. There are trucks coming in and out at all hours so the gate is usually open and there is a lot of shouting back and forth to get the drivers parked in the right spots. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls just some old safety posters and a clock that loses a few minutes every week. It’s a busy life out here in the MIDC and we just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing without worrying about how the place looks to outsiders.
