Osho Components

Down at Plot No. A-1-447, you’ll find us at Osho Components. We spend our time making various parts and pieces that go into bigger machines. It’s very detailed work, so we have to pay attention even when we are tired. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we’ve added some extra lamps over the workbenches. We aren't a big factory with thousands of workers. It’s just a handful of us who know how to handle the lathes and the drills. We keep our own hours for the most part, as long as the work gets done by the deadline. Sometimes the delivery trucks get lost trying to find our plot because the numbering around here is a bit confusing, but we eventually flag them down. We have a small kettle for making tea in the afternoons, which is usually the highlight of the day. There’s no polish to the place; it’s just a working shop with grease on the walls and metal shavings on the floor. We don’t make any big promises or talk about being the best. We just do the specific tasks we are given. It’s honest work and it pays the bills. Most of the guys here have kids in school and we talk about them while we work. It’s just a normal life at A-1-447, doing our bit and keeping things moving along. Sometimes the machines break down but we fix them and move on.
